Educational offer

​

The Tàrrega School of Music is a school open to everyone and offers a training proposal aimed at facilitating access to musical practice for students of all ages, aware of the right of all students to access it and of the educational and social value of music and its influence on school success. 

 

The educational offer of the EMMT is organized in the following 6 blocks:

 

AWARENESS - FIRST CONTACT WITH MUSIC

Program intended for students aged 3 to 7 years. In this stage, music is worked on through auditory education and recognition, body expression and, also, the execution of rhythms and melodies using Orff instruments. In this way, we help children develop their musical abilities.

  • Awareness P3 (3 years) 45 min

  • Awareness P4 (4 years) 45 min

  • Awareness P5 (5 years) 45 min

  • Musical initiation I (6 years) 60 min

  • Musical initiation II (7 years) 60 min, Instrument 30 min

 

 

BASIC LEARNING

Program aimed at students aged 8 to 11 and in which the basic skills are worked on to introduce the student to musical practice, both individually and collectively

  • Basic I (8 years) Musical language 60 min, Choral singing 45 min, Instrument 45 min, Instrument grouping 45 min

  • Basic II (9 years) Musical language 60 min, Choral singing 45 min, Instrument 45 min, Instrument grouping 45 min

  • Basic III (10 years) Musical language 90 min, Choral singing 45 min, Instrument 45 min, Instrument grouping 45 or 60 min

  • Basic IV (11 years) Musical language 90 min, Choral singing 45 min, Instrument 45 min, Instrument grouping 45 or 60 min

 

*Basic groupings: Wind Collective,  Young Winds Group, String Collective, Guitar Collective, Combos, Piano for 4/6 hands.

 

 

DEEPENING

Program with prerequisites: having passed the basic learning program. Students from 12 years old. 2 itineraries: Classical music and modern music. Possibility of validation in ESO with a minimum of 4 hours.

  • Deepening I: Musical language 90 min, Instrument 45 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 1:45 h)

  • Advanced II: Musical language 90 min, Instrument 45 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 1:45 h)

  • Deepening III: Musical language 90 min, Instrument 45 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 1:45 h)

  • Advanced IV: Musical language 90 min, Instrument 45 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 1:45 h)

 

*Groupings and complementary subjects in depth: Wind Orchestra, String Orchestra "Arkeres", Rock Band,  Latin Band, Guitar Group, Chamber Choir, Ensembles (Saxes, Metal Wind, Flutes, Clarinets , Percussion, Violins, Cello), Accompaniment for pianists, Piano for 4 or 6 hands/Chamber, Piano workshop.

  

Extensions (30 min) for Basic and Advanced students

(Extension in rhythmic competence - Extension in reading competence - Extension in auditory competence - Extension in creative competence - Extension in Test Preparation)

 

 

ADVANCED DEEPENING

Program restricted to students with a possible career path.

 

  • Advanced study I: Musical language and harmony 120 min, Instrument 60 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 2 hours)

  • Advanced study II: Musical language and harmony 120 min, Instrument 60 min, Groupings and complementary subjects (minimum 2 hours)

 

 

 

SPECIFIC PROGRAMS

 

  • MODULE: Program for students from the age of 12 (with completed basic learning) who want to continue their musical studies but who do not wish to continue with the deepening program.

  • CUSTOM MUSIC: Specific program for teenagers aged 12 to 18 without previous musical knowledge

  • ADULTS: Individual instrument (30, 45 or 60 min). Optional (Musical language, Choral singing, Groups)

 

 

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

 

  • Music in nursery schools

  • Brass Band Project: Intended for 6th grade students from Tàrrega and Escola Alba schools.
